Nusa Penida Island in A Day!

1.20.2018

Have not written for a while so here is my update about my trip to Nusa Penida Island! It does not have to be far to see another beautiful beach, just fly to Bali and explore Nusa Penida, Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Lembongan.

This time I will just share Nusa Penida.
I found a good travel planner through Instagram called @balicili.
I know there are a lot of tour agents out there, just choose the one you feel convince about.

Since I arranged Day tour only, there are only 3-4 places I could visit. I paid IDR 675,000 per person for the whole tour. The boat from Sanur took us about 45-60 minutes, then you have to go to each spot which will take around an hour with very uneven road.

First, we visited Angel's Billabong.
The beach is very eye-catching for me, if you see the line between the rocks, it is a border between the deep and shallow sea. Shallow one is actually a lagoon stay between volcanic rocks.
That day, the water was high, so we were forbidden to swim, unless you are free to take a dip until the border line. It is also called Natural Swimming Pool.

Then we moved on to Broken Beach.
Just short walk from Angel's Billabong, Broken Beach lies there. It forms a pretty bridge in the middle. Best is when the wave hits the rocks and makes thousand shades of blue.

Catch on another place, called Kelingking Beach.
No other blue can beat this. I must say that this is as beautiful as Padar Island/Gili Laba in East Nusa Tenggara, even cleaner.
Do you know you can go down to the beach?  Yes, you can. Yet It is very steep and not as close as you imagine. It worth to go down though. I did not have enough time to go down as I only took a day trip. So if you wanna reach the beach, you'll have to stay at least overnight.

This tree! Worth a climb, lol.

Last resort was Chrystal Bay, you can do the snorkling here, you can just enjoy the beach, sun-bathing, sleeping, reading a book, or so whatever.
There were nothing much to see so just relax. I suggest to make this location as your last location, so even you are running out time, you could just cut this place rather than the others.

Cheers,
Kate
